A doen\u00e7a se manifesta, inicialmente, com febre, exantema (manchas avermelhadas que se distribuem de forma homog\u00eanea pelo corpo), coriza, tosse e conjuntivite.<\/p>\n<p>A transmiss\u00e3o ocorre de pessoa a pessoa por meio de secre\u00e7\u00f5es (ou aeross\u00f3is) presentes na fala, tosse, espirros ou at\u00e9 mesmo respira\u00e7\u00e3o. Na presen\u00e7a de pessoas n\u00e3o imunizadas ou que nunca apresentaram sarampo, a doen\u00e7a pode se manter em n\u00edveis end\u00eamicos, produzindo epidemias recorrentes, como as que temos presenciado, recentemente.<\/p>\n<p>Em fun\u00e7\u00e3o do contato pr\u00f3ximo e frequente com a boca e o nariz dos pacientes, os estudantes e profissionais da odontologia tornam-se ainda mais expostos \u00e0 doen\u00e7a, devendo estar atentos \u00e0 sua situa\u00e7\u00e3o vacinal.<\/p>\n<p>Desta maneira, A Faculdade de Odontologia, em parceria com o DAST \/ UFMG, CASU, SMS-BH e as enfermeiras FAO UFMG, realizaram uma campanha de vacina\u00e7\u00e3o ofertando, gratuitamente, a vacina contra o sarampo que tamb\u00e9m protege contra caxumba e rub\u00e9ola. Participaram docentes, discentes, TAE&#8217;s, terceirizados dos quadros da FAO, assim como demais servidores de outras unidades e p\u00fablico externo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 a Faculdade de Odontologia da UFMG firmando seu compromisso perante \u00e0 comunidade acad\u00eamica, zelando, sempre, pela sua sa\u00fade, seguran\u00e7a e qualidade de vida.
